Our Sister Companies: St. Croix Tissue and St. Croix Chipping

St. Croix Tissue is a new, state-of-the-art tissue paper manufacturing company being constructed in Baileyville, Maine. St. Croix Tissue produces a full range of products for the growing national and international tissue markets, including paper napkins, paper towels, bathroom tissue and facial tissue.

St. Croix Chipping is a state-of-the-Art chip mill controlled modern day PLC controls. The mill chips 85 to 100 loads of tree length wood every 24 hrs x 7 days a week. The plant was built in 1997 by Fulghum Fibres. On August 1^st 2020, Woodland Pulp LLC strategically purchased the plant to make it part of the overall operations footprint in Baileyville Maine.

Our History

Woodland Pulp has a long and rich history in Baileyville. Woodland Pulp has been an integral part of Baileyville since the very beginning. In the early twentieth century, the mill attracted hard-working and dedicated workers. The same stands true today. We strive to foster a supportive community.

AK Agarwal

Advisor
Arvind K. Agarwal, “AK” is the Advisor to Woodland Pulp and St. Croix Tissue. After receiving a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, his career started in the Pulp and Paper Industry in the 1970's. In 2014, he announced the creation of St. Croix Tissue, Inc. at the Woodland mill site. The two tissue machines started up successfully in 2016. AK's extensive international experience and leadership is invaluable.
Marty Richard

VP of East Coast Operations
Marty graduated from the University of Maine in 1999 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked at Cutler-Hammer Engineering for a year before joining the Woodland Pulp team in engineering in 2000. Since that time, Marty has held various leadership positions in maintenance, engineering and operations. He currently manages all IGIC East Coast operations.
Brendan Wolf

Executive Director, Human Resources & Safety
Brendan joined Woodland Pulp in 2021. He served 22 years in the U.S. Marine Corps active and reserve components as an enlisted Marine and officer/judge advocate, retiring as a Major. Thereafter, for seven years, he was a business agent and president of a PA-based IBEW local union comprised of over 1,800 members. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Gannon University, J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, M.B.A. from Penn State, and M.A. in Project Management from Penn State. He is a licensed attorney in OH and PA.
Andrew Then

Pulps Sales Director
Andrew has more than thirty years of international and domestic sales experience in papers and fibers. You are in good hands!
Joey Ducharme

Market Pulp Management Consultant
Joey received a Bachelor of Administration from the University of Ottawa and an MBA from McGill University. After graduation, he worked with pulp and paper companies in North America and Europe. He joined Woodland Pulp in 2022 as a Market Pulp Management Consultant to identify opportunities to improve the company’s long-term economic performance.
George Brady

Maintenance and Reliability Manager
George has over 30 years of Maintenance, Engineering, and Reliability experience in the Pulp and Paper industry. He began his career at the SD Warren plant in Westbrook, Maine and has worked at various P&P facilities across the U.S. Prior to joining Woodland Pulp / SCT in 2019. George worked 10 years overseas for Kellogg, Brown and Root (KBR) leading their Industrial Services operation in Svetogorsk, Russia and Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. He has a BA degree in Political Science from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL.
Chuck Thompson

Logistics Manager
Chuck grew up in Central Maine and attended the University of Maine for Electrical Engineering Technology. He also has a BS in Business and an MBA Global Management. He has been working in Global Supply Chain for a number of years now and is the Logistics Manager for Woodland Pulp, LLC. He has deep experience in most aspects of Logistics and a keen focus on driving Supply Chain Excellence.
Stephen Follette

Fiber Procurement Manager
Steve is a University of Maine Forest Management Technology graduate and has been at Woodland Pulp for 28 years with positions of increased responsibility. Steve works with suppliers large and small to provide a consistent and sustainable supply of wood fiber to the mill.
Jason Worden

Operations Manager
Jason has worked in the mill for over 20 years, having held many positions and gaining well rounded experience in several areas. His experience covers technical areas such as paper production and water plant, as well as supervisory positions such as shift supervisor and superintendent. This experience has led to his current role as Pulp Mill Production Manager.
